The EMX212S, EMX312SC, & EMX512SC are all brick mixer amps, however the cut off lower rear makes it possible to view the control panel at an angle for easier control. All 3 mixers in this series offer a total of 12 versatile input channels, 8 mono mic or line inputs (4 can be used as 2 x stereo pairs) , plus 2 more stereo line inputs, providing you with a versatile mix of input capabilities for a wide range of applications. Each channel features a Feedback Channel Locating (FCL) System comprising of indicator LEDs at the top of each channel which light if the corresponding channel goes into feedback, so you don’t have to fumble around searching for the channel that needs adjustment. Another great feature is SPX Digital Effects, a selection of 16 top quality Yamaha effects including reverb, echo, chorus, flanger, phaser, & even distortion, that can add the final touch to your live presentation. Built in Graphic Equalizers are provided for both the main & monitor channels, so you can effectively control feedback or tailor the sound to match the room & program material. All models also feature a power mode switch that lets you use the two power channels as a stereo amplifier, or you can use one of the channels for the main speaker(s) & the other to drive monitors with a separate monitor mix set up via the channel MONITOR controls. With Yamaha Speaker Processing you get extra smooth highs & enhanced low frequency output & these powered mixers certainly do not skimp on power. The EMX512SC is 2 x 500 watts , the EMX312SC is 2 x 300 watts, the EMX512SC is 2 x 200 watts. EMX powered mixers offer outstanding sound performance & are very easy to use. They are lightweight, only 10 kilograms (22lbs.), with conveniently located handles for maximum carrying comfort. They are also built tough to withstand the rigors of use on the road.
