MP3+G is the newest format for karaoke music and the industry standard. There are 2 files, an MP3 file and a Graphics file. An MP3 is a compressed audio file. The graphics file is what you see on the screen. This format has the advantage of having a lot more songs on one disc compared to a CDG since MP3 files are a lot smaller than CDG files. This format will only play on MP3+G players.
No, not all players are able to play all formats. Please check your player’s manual or check with the manufacturer to see what formats your player can support. Modern karaoke players that have a USB input will usually play Mp3+G from a USB flash drive and we are always happy to advise upon make and model of player being provided.
Karaoke songs are not by the original artist. Karaoke music manufacturers recreate tracks as close to the original as they’re capable of. There is a title page at the start of each song that displays the manufacturer, song title and the words “in the style of” the original artist.
Karaoke music usually does not sound exactly like the official versions of the song because they are all recreated by karaoke music manufacturers. Sound, accuracy and quality all vary from one manufacturer to the other but as we sell only quality tracks from major manufacturers the quality is great! We are also happy to advise here as some brands are better for country music and some are better for pop and rock.
Yes, once you have selected your track to download you will see a listen symbol, this will give a 30-second sample of the song.
If we can buy the track from a third party we can convert it to the required format and add it to a custom-made CDG for a small extra charge, contact us here.
Yes, we can do all orders over the phone, sometimes if ordering custom made CDGs a call back may be requited depending on work load.
As karaoke tracks are renditions of the original they will feature backing vocals (harmonies) in choruses or where required at any point during the track. Karaoke is “minus one” so everything will be in the track except the main vocal – these vocals can’t be turned off. Some tracks are in duet form where a second singer will provide the backing vocals – these tracks are named accordingly in the library. Zoom often make two versions of a song, one with and one without any backing vocals. Whilst only the version with backing vocals is shown on the website we can usually supply the “no backing vocals” by request. The same (usually) goes for Capital Karaoke or Chartbuster songs.
If we can find and purchase the required tracks from a third party we can provide them to you once payment has been received.
Yes, we can supply all equipment to get any customer up and running on any scale.
