Because it is powered by a USB; it won’t need an additional power supply. Therefore it is perfect for home studios and mobile recordings.
The MINIFUSE1BK will fit right into your setup with a straightforward set of ins and outs. The single combo input lets you easily connect either XLR or 1/4” jack cables it’s great for microphones as well as instruments. Connecting the MINIFUSE1BK to a computer is quick and easy as all you need is a USB-C connection type. You can also connect USB devices like your MIDI keyboard with the additional USB hub socket.
For true audio enthusiasts, the MINIFUSE1BK provides you with 110db of dynamic range and a class-leading equivalent input noise of -129dB. It also supports sample rates of 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2 kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz, 192 kHz and provides a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. This essentially means that every recording you make will sound incredible as it offers rich dynamics with a clear noise-free signal and studio-grade quality.
Perfect for taking audio from a laptop in to a mixing console.
On the front panel of the Arturia MINIFUSE1BK, you will find a 1 x combo Mic/Inst/Line XLR Input with 48V phantom power. You can connect either a microphone or instrument to this input. The GAIN knob allows you to adjust the level of your connect mic or instrument with backlit knobs that respond to your input. The Gain knob controls the gain of the input preamp. Use it to adjust the volume of the input to ensure that you are capturing a good signal without overloading. The knob also features a LED indicator to help with setting input gain. The LED will illuminate blue when an instrument or microphone source is detected. If the input signal overloads, the LED will illuminate red. If this happens, turn down the Gain knob.
The 48V switch turns on phantom power for the input. The phantom power will deliver a power current to a connected microphone. It may be required to get a good signal out of certain types of microphones such as Condenser Microphones. The Monitor volume knob controls the volume of the signal sent to the speakers (outputs L & R on the rear panel).
The MINIFUSE1BK also includes a Direct Monitor switch that activates and deactivates the Direct Monitoring feature. Direct Monitoring allows you to hear the input signal without any latency incurred by computer processing. While active; the input signal will be mixed with any signal coming from the computer and sent to the speaker and headphone outputs. While inactive; only the signal coming from the computer will be heard through the speaker and headphone outputs. The 1/4” stereo headphone output can be used for connecting headphones. The headphone output mirrors the Monitor Output but has its own independent volume control. The headphone volume adjusts the volume of the headphone output.
On the rear panel of the MINIFUSE1BK, you will find a Left and Right Output. Here you can connect active studio speakers to the 1/4” balanced stereo outputs. Alternatively, you can connect devices such as amplifiers and mixers. The Hub Port is a convenient USB port that allows you to plug in other USB devices such as thumb drives or MIDI controllers. Also present is the USB port. Here you can connect the interface to your computer by plugging the supplied USB cable into this port and your computer. This connection provides power to the interface and enables the communication between the interface and your computer. Finally, you will find the Kensington lock. When used in conjunction with a Kensington lock cable this offers you to secure the interface as an optional security feature.
